There is a problem when a good lesson falls apart because of a teachers performance. This article is here to provide tips to help athletes improve their necessary skills. Many skills will be covered including, voice, speech, motivation and creativity. These four are just a few things that teachers can use as checklist to ensure full potential performance.
Let start with voice. Teacher training is usually read out or in high school, which means that a teacher needs the right voice for this environment. Students do not hear you if you are too quiet, but you do not want to scream. Being silent makes a teacher look weaker and it turns out he does not have the authority. A teacher who screams creates an environment that is not fun for the class. The balance between these two is a powerful voice. One that is high enough to pay attention to the class while still in the correct tone. Being able to cast your voice over a distance helps students really hear and react while they are in the middle of an activity. If you try this and your voice is still swallowed up in the air, then use a whistle. Make sure that the pupils know that the whistleblower means that you stop and listen to instructions before using it. Having the right voice level is one step to make you a more effective teacher.
Speaks compliments voice. There are some common issues with speaking. First, you use numbers. Up speech is when your voice goes up at the end of an opinion. Another big question is to say a certain word too much, especially when not needed, such as as. One can not speak enough clearly because the students understand you. These are things that the students will catch and you can even hear them talk to you about each other. These speak skills that everyone can practice to prevent. Mistakes can be solved through experience of teaching or it can be done at home where you can train and talk about your thoughts before starting a lesson.
Another way to be a more efficient teacher is to be creative. Think out of the box for your lessons. If you are in a basketball game, you do not necessarily need to play traditional basketball. Create new games that do not exclude those who can not play traditional basketball well. New games and ideas will kick interest, as it gives everyone an equal chance to try without being bothered by their skills. It can also mean you get a quick hook activity to make your students laugh and be ready to have fun. An example of this may be Dollar Jump. Before you begin your lesson. Find the class clown and ask them if they want to make a dollar. If they accept it, get them to do this. They must keep their hands touching their feet all the time. The teacher will place the dollar on the ground. Let students try to skip the length of the dollar, keep the landing and let go of their feet. Its a fun little activity that the class will laugh at and because its the class clown that does, youre not embarrassed for anyone because they like the attention anyway. If they finish it, they keep the dollar and thats a way your students can gain confidence for you too. Its a creative way to get your students on your side.
My last tip is about motivation. Teachers do not teach for paycheck. They learn to help the children grow to become adults and to learn a few lessons on life along the way. The only way to do this is to wake up every day motivated to learn and make an impact on your students. To take it back to lessons, you must motivate your class to do the activities you are assigned, even if the activity is not that fun. Yoga, for example, is an activity that is difficult to get students to enjoy. As a teacher, you have to sell it. Be motivated to learn yoga and try to keep your class positive about the activity. If you are motivated and excited, there is a greater chance that your students will begin to act in the same way. A boring teacher leads to a boring class. When a teacher is excited and motivates his students, the class will be a positive environment and the students will be happy to show up every day.
These are just some tips for becoming a more efficient teacher. Make some basic improvements make your students come to class excited and filled with energy. They will know you have a fun lesson waiting for them and will be more willing to attend. You can do a good lesson plan, but you must be able to learn it!
